The presentation took place at the Media Center Ukraine - Ukrinform. "Sometimes a person is in a state where he does not understand what he needs. Therefore, we use tools of psychosocial support, which provide resources so that a person has the strength to understand his own needs," noted the author of the program, psychologist Olga Pletka. The program focuses on psychosocial support of teenagers, young men and their parents, who work through their experiences and fears with the specialists of the team in separate groups formed according to the age principle. At the same time, the training of psychologists is provided. According to the author, a team of 10 best psychologists was selected from 120 applicants to participate in the project. The psychologist of the project Oleksandra Beleninnik, who worked with teenagers, noted that the most common problems of young people are panic attacks. Young people are also interested in how to plan for the future, how to understand their own feelings and what to do with them. In turn, the parents tried to find a new place in life as immigrants. Both age categories sought to cope with the feeling of guilt for abandoned relatives and friends. "We cannot know exactly how many people need help, because these are the internal subjective feelings of the person himself. But from a social point of view, every family in Ukraine needs the attention of a specialist, at least for 1-2 meetings. Even minimal support gives results," - noted Pletka. She also reported that one of the products of the project was a note for parents, which tells about communication with children when they are traumatized. First of all, parents should take care of themselves, because "if an adult understands his condition and recovers ecologically, the child will follow him and also cope." "In general, after the war, our society will need about 15 more years to restore mental health," she emphasized Pletka. The author's program "The right to be happy" appeared in 2019 as a project for the rehabilitation of children from the "gray zone". In 2020, it was approved by the Institute of Social and Political Psychology of the National Academy of Sciences. The initiative is being implemented by the "Center for Rehabilitation and Readaptation of ATO Participants and Yarmiz OOS" with the financial support of the European Union and the International Renaissance Fund from June 2022.
