Results of the support project for women waiting for defenders

For two months, specialists from the YARMIS team implemented the "Space of Family Support" project, aimed at providing comprehensive psychological support to female military personnel whose husbands are defending the country.

The goal of the project was to create a safe and accessible space for psycho-emotional stabilization, develop self-regulation skills, and strengthen the psychological resilience of participants, as well as support the professional capacity of helping professions.

The project held 40 online support group meetings for 58 women, provided 180 individual consultations for 51 women, and provided 8 supervision meetings for 8 professionals involved in the project.

The project's effectiveness was assessed using quantitative and qualitative tools, including pre- and post-screening of the level of tolerance for uncertainty (IUS-12), as well as feedback surveys.
According to the results of participation in the program, the average the level of tolerance for uncertainty increased by 19.3%, which indicates reducing anxiety and increasing adaptive capabilities participants.

Besides, 84,6% Participants noted that participation in the program helped restore internal resources and a sense of psychological support. Qualitative data confirm that the created safe space for group and individual work allowed women to better understand their own needs, stabilize their emotional state, and improve interaction in family relationships.
