Перші зустрічі були присвячені знайомству жінок одна з одною, з тренерами, обговоренню правил у групах, аспектам конфіденційності. Дівчата розказували про себе, чому вони наважились на роботу у групі підтримці, що є наболілим. За словами ведучих груп, жінки військових часто відчувають себе ізольованими, їм немає з ким поділитися своїми почуттями, проблемами. Тож групи підтримки дружин військовослужбовців націлені на формування кола підтримки, однодумців, де не буде осуду, а буде турбота, розуміння, а можливо, навіть дружба. Серед ведучих груп є дружини, що також чекають своїх партнерів – тож чудово розуміють дівчат, їх відчуття, страхи і запити. Власне, вся програма присвячена жінці, яка будує стосунок зі своїм партнером та прагне краще розуміти себе й свого коханого. Програма «5 кроків резильєнтності. Для тих, хто чекає» впроваджується в рамках проєкту «Формування системи психологічного супроводу захисників та їхніх родин як запорука стійкості громад» за підтримки European Union in Ukraine та Міжнародний фонд «Відродження» в рамках спільної ініціативи «Європейське Відродження України».
