The Center for Readaptation and Rehabilitation "YARMIZ" invites representatives of social services and organizations that accompany veterans and their family members to an online training on trauma-informed communication.
The training will take place March 12 and 13, 2025 (2 hours each from 10:00 to 12:00). Training leader Olga Kuharuk – psychologist, candidate of psychological sciences, research fellow at the Institute of Social and Political Psychology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, co-author of the program “Cultural and Psychological Competence of a Psychologist Supporting Military Personnel”, trainer of the project “Formation of a System of Psychological Support for Defenders and Their Families as a Key to Community Resilience”, co-editor of the “Guide to the Mental Health of Military Personnel in Wartime”. THE TRAINING PROGRAM WORKS WITH TOPICS:– stress, chronic stress, combative thinking, mental trauma and how they affect communication;
– practical application of the rules of trauma-sensitive communication in social work: possibilities and limitations;
– features of communication with veterans and their family members;
– your resourcefulness and self-support in conditions of chronic stress.
