When a parent returns from captivity, the family often needs time, support, and a safe space to regain a sense of closeness, trust, and support for each other.
A 10-day program of psychological recovery and support is planned for such families with children.
Families who:
– one of the parents returned from captivity;
– there are children aged 7 to 17 years inclusive;
– the family feels the need for support, restoration of contact, trust, and interaction after a long separation.
The program aims to help families gradually restore a sense of security, closeness, and mutual support. Special attention will be paid to children - their experiences of waiting, anxiety, family changes, and reestablishing contact with a loved one upon their return.
The estimated period of holding is the second half of August 2026.
Location – Lviv region.
Currently, we want to better understand whether there is a need and interest among families in this format of support.
If this opportunity sounds like something that your family might be interested in, please complete a short expression of interest form by June 30, 2026:

The interest form is not a final registration for the program. It will help us better understand the families' need for this type of support and contact you about next steps.
The project is jointly implemented by the NGO "Gen.Ukrainian", the Foundation of the Center for Mental Health and Rehabilitation of Veterans "Yarmiz", the NGO "EFT4UA" and the State Educational Institution "Center for Mental Health and Rehabilitation of Veterans "Lisova Polyana" of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine".
