International Symposium "Norway-Ukraine Project" (NUPASS)

December 29-30 are fruitful days for the YARMIZ Center team.
An international symposium was held these days International Symposium "Norway-Ukraine Project" (NUPASS) was held on December, 29-30, 2021. The International Foundation for Social Adaptation as a model of social and professional adaptation of veterans. Ukraine and Norway have long been successfully cooperating to reduce the negative social and economic consequences of the war. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the results of cooperation between the International Fund for Social Adaptation, partners and executors of the NUPASS project, the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine.

Head of the "NUPASS" project Anatoly Burmistrov and the project coordinator Veronika Vakulenko Anatoliy Burmistrov, NUPASS Project Manager and Veronika Vakulenko, Project Coordinator, presented the project “Social Audit: Theoretical Conceptualization and Practical Implications for Professional and Social Adaptation of Veterans and Their Families in Ukraine”.
The project coordinator shared the results of the implementation of the "NUPASS" project from the International Fund for Social Adaptation Olga Filina. Speakers at the International Symposium were also representatives of universities, project partners, public and governmental organizations, and international organizations regarding the integration of the model of social and professional adaptation of servicemen, veterans and their family members into the state system of Ukraine, Norway and Ukraine.
A family psychologist of the Center gave a report on the programs of the YARMIZ Center Syrytsia Marina. She presented a new pilot program for the development of relationships for couples of veterans of the ATO/OOS "Strong ties - strong couples". This program was created by Doctor of Science Sue Johnson and Doctor of Science Katherine RomeShe presented a new pilot program for the development of relationships for couples of ATO / OOS veterans "Strong ties - strong couples". The program was created by Dr. Sue Johnson and Dr. Catherine Rim, who have worked with U.S. Army veteran couples for more than 10 years. The two-day program is adapted by Ukrainian volunteer specialists to the mental characteristics of Ukrainian society during the war and is based on the method of emotionally focused psychotherapy. Despite the hard work of two days, we felt deep satisfaction with the meetings, fruitful negotiations and important agreements that took place at the symposium. After all, the goals pursued by its participants are an important issue for the future of all of Ukraine.
