Doctors are one of the first people a person freed from captivity encounters. And it is they who largely determine whether a sense of security will emerge, whether there will be a space in which one can breathe freely again, and whether a person will feel that they are not an object without rights and choices, but a person who was truly awaited.

The author of RECOMMENDATIONS FOR MEDICAL PERSONNEL IN WORKING WITH RELEASED CAPTIVES is Olena SEK, a military psychologist, expert and member of the reintegration group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, SERE psychologist.
