Formation of a system of psychological support for defenders and their families as a guarantee of community stability

The project "Formation of a system of psychological support for defenders and their families as a guarantee of the stability of communities" aims promote the ability of the Kyiv community to meet the needs of military personnel, veterans and their families, as well as psychological support through the training and expansion of the competencies of military, family and other psychologists and psychosocial support, as well as interaction with local self-government bodies.

Project results:

  • 30 officers involved in the psychological support of servicemen have completed the program "Ensuring the components of mental health of servicemen";
  • 70 military psychologists - graduates of VI KNU underwent 24 hours of supervision;
  • about 200 people from among military personnel and members of their families participated in legal consultations;
  • 19 family psychologists were trained under the program "5 steps of resilience. For those who are waiting" and received 16 hours of supervisory support;
  • 40 wives of servicemen joined support groups;
  • provided 80 individual psychological consultations;
  • 60 representatives of Kyiv local self-government bodies and social protection services joined the training "Role of communities and state administration bodies in building a people-friendly state";

The project was implemented with the support of the European Union and the "Renaissance" International Fund within the framework of the joint initiative "European Renaissance of Ukraine".
