The authors of the project \"Inclusive society in Ukraine\" said that during the war, it is already necessary to work on the issues of rehabilitation of both military and civilians who are disabled as a result of hostilities. Handbook of practical recommendations\".\n\nThis project was developed and implemented by the charitable organization \"YARMIZ Center for Readaptation and Rehabilitation\" with the support of the European Union in Ukraine and the International Renaissance Foundation.\n\nAs the coordinator of the project, deputy director of \"Yarmiz\" Svitlana Boyko, said, \"the project is aimed at forming an inclusive culture and inclusive behavior of society in Ukraine. Our team has developed two books and a series of videos with practical and effective advice on how to behave for people with disabilities and their families. Most of the chapters are written by experts who have gone through their own rehabilitation journey, so the guide is full of actionable advice.\u201d\n\nMany of the participants in the hostilities suffered wounds, contusions, injuries and need support, because they have to learn to live with health disorders in the new status of acquired disability. Together with their family members, at least 5 million Ukrainians will face problems of inclusion in society.\n\nAccording to a sociological study conducted by the \"Yarmiz\" Center with the support of the Representative Office of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation in Ukraine, among the problems, war veterans ranked second after psychological problems (24.4%) indicated a lack of dignified treatment by society (24.0%); the next problem was loss of health (20.9%) due to injury, which became an obstacle to a full return to a peaceful life; in 10.1% of respondents, relations with family and relatives worsened.\n\nWhat is an inclusive culture and inclusive behavior?\n\nAn inclusive society is, first of all, a society in which the best conditions are created for the social adaptation of people with disabilities as a result of the war, both military and civilian, and safeguards against their possible isolation are provided.\n\nAs Natalia Kalmykova, executive director of the \"Ukrainian Veterans Fund\", said, \"our society will soon face a big problem - the adaptation of war veterans who have acquired disabilities.\n In addition, there are already many civilians and children who became disabled as a result of Russian aggression. We can already say that thousands of people will be billed.\"<\/p>\n

Vulnerable groups include a large number of civilians who became disabled as a result of the war. Measures related to social adaptation and socio-environmental orientation for people with disabilities should be among the measures for the recovery of the country both at the local and national levels.
