As Yevgenia Gubska, director of the "YARMIZ" Center, noted at the opening of the Festival: "The educational program of the Dialog Language Center satisfies three of the six main competencies that, according to the Recommendations of the European Parliament and the Council of the EU, should be included in educational programs for adults: communication in the mother tongue, communication in foreign languages; awareness and self-expression in the field of culture. Recently, a special educational class for learning languages by singing - "karaoke chant" was also opened. The high demand for training, three people per place, motivates our team to continue the program in order to support the need to acquire the necessary skills and competencies and create a fashion for lifelong learning."

In his speech, the Deputy Minister of Veteran Affairs for European Integration, Oleksiy Ilyashenko, emphasized the purpose of the "Kvitka Yarmiz" Festival - to draw attention to the linguistic and cultural diversity of Europe and the importance of demonstrating the role of the veteran community in the path of European integration of Ukraine. In her welcome speech, the coordinator of the "HUMAN RIGHTS AND JUSTICE" program of the "Renaissance" International Foundation, Olga Galchenko, thanked for cooperation and noted the importance of such projects for the readaptation of veterans to civilian life. And she also expressed hope that this Festival will become a good tradition and will definitely be repeated in the following years. During the official opening of the Festival, a telecast was held with Ukrainians from different parts of Europe: Poland, Turkey, Latvia, Spain, Estonia. On the occasion of the opening of the Festival, we were greeted by members of the Association of Relations with Ukrainians Outside Ukraine "Ukraine-Svit", volunteers, veterans and everyone who supports and provides assistance to veterans. During the telecast as a sign of unity together with the "Yarmiz" ensemble, those present in the hall and Ukrainians abroad sang the National Anthem of Ukraine. After which the melody of the Anthem of the European Union was played by the accompanist of the ensemble "Yarmiz" Yuriy Baldzha. Alla Kendzera, the First Deputy Head of the Society for Relations with Ukrainians Outside Ukraine "Ukraine-World", congratulated all those involved on the occasion of the opening of the First Veteran Ethno-Festival "YARMIZ Flower" and said that a huge number of Ukrainians both in Ukraine and abroad are following for this momentous event. Alla Yevgeniyvna expressed her hope that the "Yarmiz Flower" Festival will become a wonderful artistic ethno-holiday, which will annually surprise everyone with new creative achievements and discoveries. Dialog Language Center is a place where tradition and modernity are harmoniously combined. At the Festival, the cultural heritage of Ukraine was presented alongside recognized masters by veteran artists.

The oldest craftswoman, the keeper of the art of pysanka, Mrs. Tamara Glushanok, introduced the class to the art of making pysanka and told about its history, because it is believed that the world exists as long as the pysanka lives. Visitors to the Festival also attended a master class on another traditional craft, conducted by veteran Yevhen Kosyanenko. Yevgeny holds two registered records, as the manufacturer of the smallest wicker basket and the largest number of children in a wicker basket! The guests of the Festival also attended master classes on Petrykiv painting by hereditary craftswoman Olesya Zhuma, classes on clay modeling by Svitlana Romancha and weaving by Valentina Tkach. The guests of the Festival continued their acquaintance with the art of working with clay at the exhibition of veteran businesses, where they admired the products of the veteran family pottery Dovgan-art.
